The Warhammer runabout returns with Epona to the HORIZON, where she quickly
fells asleep in her quarters.
The HORIZON itself has not enough power to drag the two Telmarc ships given
to them by the Gironanas and they have to replace the dilithium crystals as
they have been re-crystallized too often by now. The damaged EPS conduits
could be repaired with beryllium 18 found in a nearby asteroid field.
It is further decided to man one of the Telmarc ships with Starfleet
personal and fly it to Starbase OMEGA and drag the other one with the
HORIZON. Lieutenant Nova`Song will command it and Cady is needed to override
the security measures he himself put into the design while working for the
Telmarc. Not everyone is happy with this decision as he is still not
entirely trusted. Vymora starts working on a second plan to keep off
Telmarcs in case of their arrival.
T`Piri is ordered to recon on the asteroid field and finds Telmarc ships and
a freighter on the other side, obviously waiting for the signal to come to
Girona and pick up the remains of the planet.
Meanwhile, Epona is caught in her own dreams, believing she is captured and
locked into a cell she has no way to escape from. When she fails to report
to the bridge for her shift, Vymora and Nova`Song search for her and find
her unconscious in he quarters. Vymora searched her cabin for any clues and
finds a dream suppressant. Her body failing her in sickbay, Epona lets go
off herself to die by drowing in her cell. Nova´Song keeps the doctors from
putting her on life support, feeling Epona has to die in her dream to live
on and the Indaran is right about it.
When she is released from sickbay, Epona talks to the Captain and Dr.
Rademach, having received a message from her Betazed counsellor and from
Admiral Tergin, that she will be ordered to Starbase OMEGA for further
mental training in due time. She also explains why she did hide her ability
from everyone as she didn`t want it to be used against her will and as to
keep it secret from enemies of the Federation. During that conversation, the
Captain addresses Epona several time as "Lieutenant", leaving Epona unsure
why.
Sam Dwight has some problems with his self-confidence as the Captain
questions him about the state of the ship and his efforts for damage control
but Nova`Song talks to him, putting him straight again.
Cady gets the Telmarc profiteer DOWNSIZER up and running but there is a lot
of hostility against him on the ship. Even Vymora plans on a secondary
weapon as not to be dependant on Cady, should he be not trustworthy when
dealing with Telmarcs. Kallesin offers to jump in as he can work
indepentantly from the ships systems.
Still on medical leave, Epona uses the time to tell Arkanis how she came to
know about the Warhammer runabouts interior designs and reveals her former
secret to him as well, asking him not to tell as at least some of the crew
would be afraid of someone spying on their dreams, even unwillingly and
unintentionally.
With all the ships that should be in working order, the mining of the
asteroid field begins.

Aboard the Bolian Freighter NEMAX's Bridge, N'Borga and T'al realizes that
the ship has undergone another time shift. The outside universe 'vanishes'.
N'Borga has a theroy as to the cause, but needs a sample of the green
powder. Brooks and Burton brings a sample from Engineering and they, too,
discover the 'disappearance' of the universe outside the NEMAX. The
time-shift has resulted in the NEMAX and the Away Team being out-of-phase
with the CURIE and the Bolians aboard the NEMAX. T'al orders Brooks and
Burton to examine the logs of the NEMAX while N'Borga does an analysis of
the green powder.
T'al thinks that an answer might be found in the quarters that he had phased
into for a few seconds. It was there that he had witness the destruction of
an apparent ancient artifact and the release of a green powder or gas. He
sets off to find that location. The closely he approaches the more a
physical queasiness overtakes him, causing him to stumble. T'al struggles
against the debilitating feeling. Only a few meters from his destination,
he collapses.
Brooks studies NEMAX's logs and comes across and entry about the Captain of
the NEMAX seizing an artifact found by another crew member.
T'al struggle to regain consciousness. He is awake long enough to determine
that his environmental suit's oxygen replication unit had been damage. He
blacks out once more. N'Borga, Brooks, and Burton rush to his aid. They
manage to rig up a bypass around T'al's suit malfunction. Once T'al is on
his feet all make their way to the quarters of NEMAX's captain.
On the CURIE sensors discover a tear in our space/time which has engulfed
the NEMAX.
Meanwhile the negotiations between the Kwani and Mayarians seem to be going
wel. Stan makes significant contributions until he is recalled to DS 101
and from there to Earth. Stan's help is needed in the creation of a new
hologram program, the Diplomatic Relations Hologram or DRH. Upon completion
the DRH and its mobile holographic emitter is sent to the USS NIGHTINGALE

USS NIGHTINGALE
CO: Captain Pol Canon
GM: Theunis
**************************************
This week saw the arrival of two new faces to the Nightingale crew.
The first being ensign Feln, a Bajoran Planetary Specialist, and the second
being Negotiator Three, a field test Diplomatic Relations Hologram send by
the Federation Diplomatic Corps.
The instillation of 'Three' leads to some problems but in the end he was
installed to the main computer core of the Gale.
Both were 'warmly' welcomed into the crew and been send to their
departments.
The arrival of ensign Feln also leads to some interesting theories in the
case of the planet's mining waste problems and the mysterious death of the
ambassador. Feln, having studied the readouts of the two planets comes to
the conclusion that the planets cores both consist out of 80% dilithium. He
backs this up be stating that the planets both don't have any geological
activity at all.
Ideas are being spilled out one being that the planets had been conquered in
the past for this but in the end ensign Lister comes with the most plausible
conclusion. The planets inhabitants had been paid off by giving warp drive
technology in return of mining the dilithium.
But which race has offered this? And what did go wrong if anything has gone
wrong?
