Secret Wars II #7
The Juggernaut wasn't particularly the feature in this story but his part made a pretty big statement. Mephisto was gathering an army of ninety nine villains to take on the Beyonder. Each member upon agreeing is secretly imprinted with an invisible mark that mystically links them to a machine of Mephisto's creation. If Beyonder were to use his power on any member with the mark or if any should touch the Beyonder,the result would be a power feedback that would destroy a third of the universe and hopefully the Beyonder with it. The Juggernaut is the first member chosen. He agreed to join on the concession that if he did Black Tom would gain ownership of Cassidy Keep in Ireland. Electro joins to be sprung from jail,Baron Mordo joins to be given more power,Absorbing Man and Titania are enlisted in a bar and so on and so forth.

The Thing is in the middle of starring in a movie on an island where he explains to a friend of his why he hates the Beyonder. He blames him for losing his girlfriend and being forever stuck as a rock-skinned freak. Coincidently the Beyonder,as always for his own reasons,decides to go to an island nearby and just sit there in deep pondering. This somehow starts a trend and so many people flock to ponder with him that it makes the news. Thing recognizes the ponderer and is infuriated.

Later on Mephisto comes to Thing while Ben was sleeping and coaxes him to sign over his soul in exchange for having his power increased a hundredfold. The better fight Beyonder with. Thing readily signs and takes off to fight the man he so hates.

As Thing goes to fight the Beyonder he runs into the villains who were sent to kill the Beyonder. Ever heroic,Thing can't sit back and watch the Beyonder (who was just sitting there,not reacting) be attacked by the mob of villains. With his unholy magnified powers Thing rushes in to fight. He easily defeats ninety eight of the ninety nine but Mephisto seeing Thing single-handedly thwart his plan rips up the contract for Thing's soul. The Juggernaut is the last malefactor standing. Going toe-to-toe with The Juggernaut with only his original strength Ben Grimm puts up a valiant stand for about 5 seconds. The Juggernaut stomps right up to him and tells Thing that he'll regret standing in his way. To make good on his claim The Juggernaut swipes Thing across the chest. Then Juggernaut follows up with a left cross that rocks Thing further. He finishes by putting Thing down with a double fisted hammer blow. Without even landing a single hit on his opponent the Thing recieves a swift pummelling that renders him unconscious moments later. But Thing had held the villains from their task for too long. Mephisto's machine could not hold the awesome power any longer and began to melt down,causing all 99 of the villains to fall into a still trance and disappear right before Juggernaut can touch Beyonder.

Because of his invulnerability it's often overlooked how strong The Juggernaut is. This is another good example of how much Juggernaut can dish out to put along with how much he can take.
