First I'm using the American Version because that's what I saw
Second this is my fun opinion and is not meant to start arguements
Third the characters do not come in the order I'm saying here
Here's the characters...
The main character is Serena, also known as Sailor Moon (see why she's the main character?). Serena has parents (two mothers if you think about it) and a little brother named Sammy who has a friend named Mika, who both think Sailor V (whose real name is Mina) is really neat and Mina arrived (being the last inner scout to appear) with a white cat named Artemis (although he's a male) who knows Luna (a female black cat) who hangs around Serena although on occasion hangs with Sailor Mercury (real name Amy) who is in love with a guy named Greg (but he's not in it much so who cares).
Not at all connected to Greg (but this is the only place I could find to mention him) is Jedite. He is the first Negaverse villian shown (and it's totally unfair that he was put to sleep for an uncountable number of years, but personal opinions aside...) He picked on the mother of a girl named Molly (who should have been a Sailor Scout) who is now dating (sort of) a classmate named Melvin (although he had a major crush on Serena, but he saved Molly's life so...), but she really liked (I mean REALLY liked) Nephlyte who worked for Queen Beryl, ruler of the Negaverse (despite the fact that she also has a master). Unfortunately for Molly Nephlyte's gone replaced by Zoisyte (even if she's gone now too) who was in love with Malachite (and he her. I'm talking massive amounts of emotion here. Oh, he's also one of Beryl's minions). Now he's determined to be rid of the Sailor Scouts (can you blame him?)
Then there's Darian who is Malachite's student except he's really a good guy (Tuxedo Mask at that) brainwashed by Beryl (but don't worry about any of those details) and Rei (who is Sailor Mars) dated Darian when he wasn't evil, although he and Serena have a thing going (atleast when he's good) now that they know they're Prince Darian of Earth and the Moon Princess (which has been obvious from the beginning, but don't worry about that either). Anyway, Rei has a grandfather who runs a temple where Chad (a rock star) is staying to find a piece of mind to get over his stage fright and so he can be around Rei (do you sense a crush here?) Everyone loves to hang around this temple and an arcade where Andrew works (and he basically knows everyone) and Sailor Jupiter (whose name is Lita) had this crush on him (not to mention Serena did too), but he has a girlfriend named Rita who's shipped off to Africa to study insects.
Confused? Sorry.
Now the story...
The plot is basic. Save the world from Queen Beryl's evil plans. Meanwhile they have to find the other Sailor Scouts (No, they are not all together from the beginning), find the Moon Princess, discover who Tuxedo Mask really is, search for and collect the Seven Rainbow Crystals because (now listen up. This is important) once these crystals are together they form
the Imperium Silver Crystal which will either
A)Stop the Negaverse or
B)Release the Negaverse or
for Tuxedo Mask:
C)Help find the Moon Princess
for he believes she can help him remember his past because he has a really bad case of amnesia. This Silver Imperium Crystal was so important they waited halfway through the season to bring it up. Oh, ya, all this time they're fighting Negaverse creatures.
There is an ending to this and everything is explained, but it does continue for many more seasons, let alone movies, and even a staged musical!
