The following is the results of Official XPA Survey #8: What were
Mulder and Scully's first loves like, and how did they end? Actually, it's
half the results. The stuff about Mulder was posted separately.

Scully's first love was when she was ten. Her family had just
moved, and the first night in their old house another officer's family
invited them to their house. They had a son named Scott who was the same
age as Bill Jr. Scully fell in love with Scott when his family's cat
scratched her, and he
took her into the bathroom to wash off the scratch and put a band-aid on it.
When school started, Scott and Bill Jr. were in the same class. They became
best friends, so Scott was at the Scully's house almost all the time. Scully
would watch him secretly and daydream. She practiced signing her
name using his last name. She tried to get her brother to let her play
football and do other things with them just so she could be with Scott.
Once she secretly borrowed Missy's curling iron to experiment on her hair,
but she only succeeded in burning the side of her neck.
Then one day Scott showed up with his girlfriend. Scully refused to
speak to him ever again and whenever he came over she was as rude as
possible to him without getting in trouble. At the end of that year her
family moved again. A couple times after that she would find an envelope
addressed to her family with Scott's return address on it. She read the
letters, but she never wrote back. -Jane-Yi

        Scully's First Love:
On the way home from school, Scully comes across a dead cat. She stops to
look at it and becomes lost in her thoughts. A boy called David walks up
from behind and watches her for a while.
Then he says, "Hey, aren't you gonna toss your cookies or
something?" Scully looks him over. "Are you?"
David thinks about it, then shakes his head. "Are you going to
*touch* it?"
Scully makes a face. "No, are you?"
David grins. "Tell you what. I've got a couple of chocolate chip
cookies my mom made. They're the best ever. I'll share them with you,"
David pauses, "But not right here."
Scully and David hit it off and never looked back for an entire
week. Until they came across a dead cockroach, and David tossed his cookies.

Scully's first love was a bad boy, I think, someone who broke all
the rules she held so dear. They were close friends who went on all sorts
of neighborhood adventures together (remember, Dana was a tomboy), but she
never let him know she loved him. It ended when he died suddenly in an car
accident (drinking and driving, maybe) when she was 14. -Weeble

Scully had a more normal first experience: the boy next door. They
had a lovely, sweet romance until he moved away. They wrote for a while,
but soon fell out of touch. A standard scenario, but a nice memory for her.
(The only change: if Scully's family moved away first... given her military
background.) -Natasha
