NOTABLE VULCANS
Saavik was Spock's first protoge. She held the rank of leiutenant while serving on board the refitted Enterprise. She was the head of a group of cadets being trained by the then Captain Spock. Later, while on a scientific mission to the Genesis planet with David Kirk, she assisted the regenerated Spock through the difficult time of pon farr. Saavik was last seen on Vulcan as the crew of the Enterprise headed for Earth in a Klingon bird of prey.
Valeris was the first Vulcan to graduate at the top of her class at Starfleet Academy. She served as helmsman on the Enterprise-A during its last mission to open peaceful talks with the Klingon Empire. However, Valeris was revealed as a traitor and a conspiriter, attempting to prevent any peaceful diplomacy with the Klingons.
Sarek was Vulcan's most well-known and respected ambassador. He also assisted the Federation with many diplomatic negotiations. Being Spock's father, he went to Starfleet Headquarters to speak on behalf of the crew of the Enterprise.
Sarek would later visit another crew of the Enterprise-D, this time under the command of Jean-Luc Picard. During his last duty as an ambassador, Sarek mind-melded with Captain Picard in order to stabilize his fragile control of his emotions due to the disease, Bendii Syndrome.
Tuvok serves on board the starship Voyager which is lost in the Delta Quadrant. He serves as Chief of Security as well as Chief Science Officer. Tuvok's previous assignments included a tour on board the Excelsior under the command of Hikara Sulu.
Spock was the son of Sarek, a Vulcan ambassador, and Amanda, a human teacher. He was the first Vulcan to attend Starfleet Academy. It was Spock's choice of Starfleet Academy over the Vulcan Science Institute that alienated him from his father. Spock served as first officer aboard the USS Enterprise and later as her captain while training cadets at Starfleet Academy. After retiring from Starfleet, Spock took up the diplomatic duties of his father. His last known whereabouts are on Romulus where he works to bring the Romulans together with his people as they once were.
