Branswell Station in its infancy was primarily
populated by Naval personnel and their dependants. It is a massive Orbital and Underground naval shipyard. The large influx of Naval personnel and Retiree's and dependants has greatly expanded since the worlds inception 700 years ago and now is a Fast growing Mining world quickly approaching industrialization.  The world approximately 300 years ago was open to the general imperial citizenry and several business corporations and the Shipyard facilities sold as they became outdated and newer naval bases received most of the work. The civilian turnover  is the main tribute to growth in the Region.
Branswell station although not the most technologically advanced boasts a high quality shipyard facility and produces ad great number of civilian starships at economical prices.

The population of Branswell station lives in the tunnel networks of played out mines and several cities are connected by underground railway.  Mining still goes on here in other regions of the planet and is fairly profitable mostly mining Iron ore, Nickel, and platinum its chief exports.  The planets surface houses some of the population in specially designed suburb communities called "Shire Domes" for their dome Capsules. The planets surface is rather close to its sun making the climate on the planets surface rather warm with some radiation exposure thought the surface does support life.
