Volonii is a lush planet with dense jungle like vegetation much like that of the regions of southeast Asia on terra.  It is home to the well known race called the  "Volonii" a cat like humanoid race.  The Volonii are a very prideful race that has had considerable relations with the Imperium and even considerable influence.  Their race is broken down into specific castes The first the Volonii-Na Have a tawny fur color and are very business like they are the most commonly encountered abroad.  The next the Volonii-Kurr  are dark more Pantherlike sleek and very Muscular and tend to be loners and mercenaries.  The last the Volonii-Teh tend to be smaller in stature and have a reddish brown fur with spots. They are more talkative and are technical in nature.

The world of the Volonii is a Beautiful but savage place abounding with much wildlife.  Most of the planet is overgrown with large cities rising up out of the jungle vegetation. These cities are connected by roadways for grav vehicles and by Grav railways and airports.  Each city is ruled by a specific pride leader who si the monarch for that territory called a "pride Leader"  These pride leaders earn their position through tests of skill and mortal combat the better one is the higher in society one ranks.  Once every 5 years a tournament is held which all pride leaders come and test and do battle to see who is The "Emperor of the Prides" the ruler of the planet for the next 5 years currently this is "Emperor Kazarruss III".
