kind...
Summary: Open to your interpretation as always, but possible the
contrast
between Diana and Scully's influence on G-man.

"Earth and Sky"

The distant voice of nothing,
Does she call to you,
In from the darkness
Out to you, or only to your
Madness?

From your position at the
Bottom,
Do you see the truth written in the stars of her eyes,
And in them do you see fear,
Reflected of you,
Or have you travelled beyond that place
Into somewhere far deeper?

Does her lunar face
Catch you, caught you in her deceptive arms?
Pull you in with her promises and
Her seeming wisdom,
And does she offer it all,
Full well knowing that even with your
Jack-knife, screw and saw,
You cannot open this
Bag of God and find what even sad
Pandora would not dare?

Or would you fall back to
Earth,
Exit the clouds
And land again in Irish Seas
Tasting of salt and skin
Walk again the roads that need to be walked,
Cross or burn the bridges that come your way,
Armed only with yourself,
And your touchstone, this
Being,
Magnetic and enigmatic,
Not the fickle goddess,
But your north,
Your other, your
Only?
