With Just A Look
I realize that I have hurt you.
Hurt you more than words can say.
But you don't need words, your actions speak for you
in volumes.
I need you to look at me,
So that in my eyes you will understand.
I did what I had to do, for you, for us.
Nothing has changed, I still trust only you.
And that is why I followed him
Because I knew you would be close behind.
How could you believe in him after all that you have seen?
How could you risk yourself for him, for anything?
The salvation of the world is worth nothing to me
if it means the loss of you.
I can't look at you though I desperately need to.
I see you now and think of the terror that could have been.
I need to see that you are really here, and that you are safe.
I would have given my soul to all that is evil to bring you back to
me.
But you were already with the evil one.
Though rest assured, I was never very far behind.
