Askani is a member of the Clan Chosen, the descendants of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey (through Rachel, or the Phoenix) in an alternate 38th Century. When Cyclops' child, Nathan Christopher (a.k.a. Cable) was stricken with the Legacy virus, Askani took the child to her future where he might be treated. Thus, Cable returns to us older than his father. Weird, huh?
