Alpha Flight worked closely with the Avengers at least three times. One such incident was when the warlord Attuma had taken control of Atlantis and both teams worked together to free Marrina from being a hostage.

The second time the two teams worked closely together was when a British nuclear submarine was taken over by Soviet terrorists. Jurisdiction of the affair had passed over to Alpha Flight when the sub surfaced in Canadian waters. The two teams, working also with the People's Protectorate, managed to find a peaceful resolution, but only after a small nuclear explosion, which was taken care of.

The third time the two teams worked together was when the alien Consortium, staged an attack against Toronto to capture the being known then as Her. While one half of each team was whisked off to another dimension to face Galactus, the two teams were finally able to solve both problems by having Galactus devour the mother ship of the Consortium which used a miniaturized planet as a power source.
