Twins born to Baron Von Strucker, one of the leaders of HYDRA, Andrea and her brother are mutants, who have the power to project energy (him) and plasma (her). Together, they can blast off everything their rays touch, but they must be holding hands to project such rays. Quite spoiled, they first met an X-Man while on safari in Africa, where Storm was at the time, after her powers were removed by the gun device designed by Forge. There, she vanquished them both to protect the natives, being recognized again as a goddess. However, the twins vowed revenge and had their chance during the trial of Magneto in Paris.
