Superhuman Abilities: Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength enabling him to lift approximately 10 tons. His reflexes are 15 times faster than a normal human's, and his flexibility, agility, and balance have developed to equally extraordinary levels. Spider-Man possesses a unique "spider-sense(455kb)," which, by way of a tingling sensation at the base of the skull, warns him of danger.

The origin of Spider-Man is very ironic, coincedental, and unique! Peter Parker was in high school. He was on the way to the science demonstration, and asked Felicia Hardy to go with him. Of course, luckily for her and unluckily for Peter, Flash, Felicia's boyfriend at the time, made fun of Peter and pushed him out of the way and took Felicia to a party. Peter went to the science demonstration and took notes. As the demonstrator was showing everyone the invention, a small spider dangled from the ceiling and went right into the radioactive beam. Not a minute later, the spider crawled up onto Peter's hand and bit him. Peter was hurt, and started to moan. The people laughed at him because of it. He was walking home the same day, when a car came speeding down the road. It almost hit Peter, but he jumped high out of the way on instinct. He found himself crawling on the walls! It was like a baby taking its first step.

Soon after he discovered his powers, he made "web-shooters" that could fit in the palm of his hands. After sowing his costume, he was named "Spider-Man" because he had the power, instinct, and strength of one. He soon discovered his "spider-sense" which would warn him a second before danger was going to occur. He went onto wrestling, and began to show off. He got an agent which made him big bucks. And he only cared about taking care of one person - himself! But one night in the arena was going to change his life as Spider-Man forever. A criminal was running down the arena from the police. They yelled for him to stop him, but Peter simply replied "Hey, I'm a wrestler, not a cop!" When he returned home, he found the police at his house. He walked in and a cop came to him and told him someone had murdered his Uncle Ben. Full of anger and sadness, Peter as Spider-Man swung down to the warehouse where the crook had been chased to. He went inside, and un-masked him, and found it was they guy from the arena! The one he could've easily tripped and ended the madness! Peter soon learned that with great power comes great responsibility.
