As most people know, weddings celebrate the union of two individuals who plan to join their lives together.  Currently the social and political structures of the Realms do not allow for shared bank accounts or the assumption of a spouse's family name.  However, many still perform wedding ceremonies as a rite enacted before friends and relatives so that they may witness and recognize the new spiritual bond as it is symbolically tied between the bride and the groom.

For the sake of clarity we can classify weddings into two separate categories:  Independent and Assisted.

An Independent Wedding can be as involved or simple as you are prepared to make it.  It is important to realize that no GM's approval or presence is not required for the sake of validity.  With some planning, creativity, and a small investment of coins, any Bride and Groom can host a beautiful, memorable (and inexpensive!) wedding.

With a great many more coins, a Gamemaster will help you plan and create a unique wedding.  Assisted Weddings can run high in cost, starting at 30 platinum and extending up to 100 platinum or more, depending on the level of extravegance and detail.  In addition, Assisted Weddings require that:

 
>  Both Bride and Groom have mastered the tenth circle of training in their respective guilds.
>  Either Bride or Groom have subscribed to the Premium plan.
>  A consultation be scheduled with GM Danalae.
>  Both Bride and Groom be present for the consultation.
>  A deposit equal to one half the cost of the wedding be paid during    the consultation; the remainder of the cost due the day of the wedding.
>  The wedding be scheduled three weeks minimum in advance after the scheduled consultation.
