'I think the only thing that's here is...Small Potatoes'

*Sigh* Only a slight, teeny weeny change is needed to make 'shipper hearts happy. Besides, it looks better with Scully's eyes closed *g*. I only saw this episode for the first time yesterday, but I think, no I know it is one of my favourites. I haven't laughed like that at an X-File at all in Season four. Although it did appear out of context to the whole Scully cancer thing, it was a nice placed episode for some light relief. I'd heard the episode was going to be funny, but I wasn't expecting what I saw at all! Hilarious is more like it. Humour that made episodes like War of the Coprophages, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose and Jose Chung's 'From outer space' great comedies. Don't you think it is so nice to burst out laughing in the middle of an X-File? Oh well, maybe it's just me!!

Relationshipper wise, the episode was a mixed bag. We had the usual banter between our fav agents, plus people mistaking them for a couple, which is always a bonus.

Scully: The birds and the bees and the monkey babies.

Mulder: Birds do it, bees do it, even educated MD's do it.

We all know which educated MD Mulder would most like to do it with *bg*

Of course the near miss snog tantalised all of us, but unfortunatly it was the wrong Mulder!! Damn! When the real Mulder burst through the door, he did look upset that Scully was about to kiss another man, even though he should have been flattered that the other man looked like him! Did anyone else notice Mulder's nervousness at the very last scene? Maybe he was worried that this has ruined his chances with Scully forever. Ah, we can only hope! Not of course that his chances are ruined, but...Ah you know what I mean!

Scully: You're not a loser Mulder

Mulder: Yeah, but I'm no Eddie Van Blundht am I?

At Eddie Senior's house, Mulder practically had his arm round Scully the whole time they were walking up to the house. Inside, he also sheltered her from the falling corpse...hmm, somehow the phrase 'Chivalry isn't dead' is slightly out of context here!

Mulder: Do you think the fall killed him?

As a final note, did anyone else prefer the fake Mulder or was it just me. Of course, the real Mulder is better than anything, but for once to see a Mulder that cracked silly comments and tripped up all the time was very endearing. He also had a sweet look on his face the entire time, and...*sigh*. I think I'll go watch it again!

Eddie/Mulder: You're a damn good looking guy.

So true, so very true!
