First seen in the year 2344 by the Enterprise-D (ST: TNG; 3rd season, "Yesterday's Enterprise"), the ship had been thrown 22 years into the future through a temporal rift which temporarily change the time line, resulting in a 22 year long war with the Klingon Empire. The ship later returned to its own time period, and the original time line was restored.
