Drew Barrymore and Scream 3

Drew Barrymore is not producing Scream 3.

The Internet Movie Database started this rumor, one that is very easily proven false. Drew Barrymore is the head of "Flower Productions". Her production company has a contract with Fox for the next two years. Her company is new, and is taking things slowly.

Scream 3 already has it's fair share of producers. "Craven/Maddalena Productions" will handle Scream 3 as they did with the two previous Scream films.

While there had been some speculation that "Flower Productions" would move to Columbia Pictures (where Flower is producing ``Charlie's Angels'' with Leonard Goldberg), Fox was able to keep Barrymore and her Flower partner Nancy Juvonen on the Century City lot.

Among the projects Flower is developing at Fox 2000 is the fantasy picture ``Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.'' Barrymore is attached to star. Set in a magical toy store, the picture examines how people grow up but keep magic and playfulness in their lives.

Fox 2000 has also commissioned Anne Meredith (``Bastard Out of Carolina'') to write an original, untitled contemporary thriller that Flower will produce. It will be developed as a possible starring vehicle for Barrymore.
