This Week's suggestion:
- OK, I ran out of suggestions...
Got any original ideas for things you can do when there's no Babylon 5?
Mail them to me
(If you don't want your name to appear next to the suggestion you make please state that
in your e-mail)
Previous suggestions:
- Visit the TV station's web site -
Who knows, they may start broadcasting Babylon 5
next week and you just haven't found out about it yet!
- Bake a cake - Bake a cake and try to make it look like
a Starfury by cutting it in the right places and decorating it afterwards.
- Move to another country
- Find a country where Babylon 5 is currently being broadcasted on
TV and go to live there.
- Write Babylon 5 songs
- Write songs about various Babylon 5 subjects: characters, the plot,
a specific episode etc.
- Study Physics and/or Math
- Take Physics or Math lessons and try to calculate things like how
fast the Babylon 5 rotates, The avarage speed of a Starfury etc.
- Watch something else on TV
- although nothing else compares to Babylon 5...
- Listen to Babylon 5 music
- Buy a Babylon 5 CD and listen to it.
- Try to understand Kosh
- Make a list of all the sentences Kosh ever said and try to
understand what each one of them means.
- Speculate what will happen in future episodes
- Try to guess what will happen in Babylon 5 episodes you haven't seen yet.
- Learn to speak Minbari
- Learn to speak sentences in the Minbari language by watching
episodes where something is said in Minbari language and translated to
English in the subtitles.
- Create Babylon 5 jokes
- You can start with something like: "A human, a minbari and a
vorlon go together to a bar..." and continue from there.
- Go to a Babylon 5 convention
- If there are no Babylon 5 conventions in your area - organize one!
- Chat with other fans
- Find other Babylon 5 fans on the IRC or in chat websites and chat with them.
- Read Babylon 5 books
- If you've already read all the Babylon 5 books (there are currently 9 books)
read them again.
- Draw Babylon 5 Pictures
- You can draw humans, aliens, planets, spaceships or anything else related to the
Babylon 5 universe. If you don't know how to draw pictures, now will be
a good time to learn.
- Find a hobby
- A new hobby (like building little ships in bottles, for example) might help you forget
that there's no Babylon 5 around.
- Watch previous episodes
- even if you've already watched every episode about 10 times it's always fun to
do it again! (although it's MORE fun to watch NEW episodes). If you don't have
any Babylon 5 episodes recorded, find someone that has.
- Find at least 10 Babylon 5 character names that begin with the letter "C"
- 1.Cartagia 2.Clark... you can carry on from here.
- Learn the narration to each season's opening sequence by heart
- In the 4th season's narration you can also learn by heart what character says each
sentence.
- Convert people
- Find people that hate Babylon 5 and convince them (using non-violent methods)
to like it.
- Create a Babylon 5 web site
- Why suffer the lack of new Babylon 5 episodes alone? Let the whole net know
your anger and frustration!
