Comfort from a Friend

A few weeks ago, my roomate bought a ouija board. I was always skeptical about them, but did believe that it could be possible to talk to spirits.

I had played with one a few times with one of my friends, Neil, and a few other people when I was about 17.

My friend Neil was later killed in a fight, about a year ago, in front of my eyes. By the time I got to him it was too late. For the last year and three months or so, I partly blamed myself for what happened, because I convinced him to stay out with me and my friends that night.

It's just recently, from my experience a week ago, that I can really talk about it openly. My roomate, his girlfriend, one of our friends and I sat down to play the ouija board last week.

We lit three candles, placed them in a triangle on our kitchen table and turned off the lights; all keeping an open mind. We put our fingers on the looking glass and after a few minutes it started to move. At first it just spelled out jibberish, until it actually answered -YES and -NO questions.

Amazed at what was happening, we asked the spirit "Z" if anyone wanted to talk to us. It immediately spelled out -NA, the initials of my friend, Neil. We then began to ask him questions that only he would know the answers to. He knew every one and even joked around with me like he used to.

He told me not to feel guilty about what happened and that everything happens for a reason. After we talked for about two hours, we said we would let him go because he was tired. When I tried to stand up my body felt drained, I could hardly lift my arms and I felt light headed.

As I'm sure most of you would feet if you experienced something as dramatic as this, we were pretty freaked out. However, after about two days of thinking about what happened and whether or not we would do it again, we played a few nights later.

We have talked to Neil about three times now and there is no doubt in my mind that it is possible to make contact with the other side.
