I'm a pagan and I just want to tell you that if you are going to try an ouija board/séance for the first time, have an experienced medium with you so that you know that nothing too bad will happen.
I have experienced countless paranormal things, one of them being the entity that lives in my house. It often makes me uneasy and I hear things in the kitchen. My sister used to see people in her room that weren't there just before and after sleep.
When I had a sleepover in my living room my friends were terrified by glowing lights that came down the stairs. My cat has gone insane. I often go into lucid dreaming and a few times I have dreamed of my limbs melting away.
But the spirit is actually pretty polite and quiet. If you ask it to please leave you alone it goes away for a while.
