Seventeen

First of all I'm an atheist and always retained a healthy skepticism of all things paranormal, but wanted to do a Ouija board out of curiosity. I remember reluctantly declaring the next day I was going to have to change my entire belief system to fit round what happened. It started off with about four people in our circle and we spoke to about four different spirits. Some of them were highly accurate of deeply personal events in the live's of the people in the circle. Things that the other members certainly did not know about, but they are too personal to go into here.

Two spirits - who none of us knew decided they wanted to talk to me. They told me I was going to heaven at the age of 17 - having just celebrated my 17th birthday I was terrified. I was told I was going to die very soon - someone else asked how but I insisted I didn't want to know - I asked to leave the circle and I was told I couldn't. After what seemed like an age, one of the other members of the circle asked if they were joking. The glass went to YES. "So I'm not going to die before my 18th then" I asked.

The glass moved to NO. "You've got a sick sense of humour"

The glass moved to YES, we all laughed nervously

The spirits apologised, asked if I was okay - I calmed down and we carried on.

The point of this is - spirits are under no obligation to tell the truth and on the basis of my experience, they like a laugh as much as the rest of us, and if a Ouija tells you you're going to die - you don't have to believe it. I did one on Tuesday night where I asked if there were dangers of doing Ouija board and I was told that us mere mortals should not mess with what we don't understand - I'm sticking to that for the time being.
