My parents and aunt and uncle started having séances when I was quite young. Every once in a while we (the kids) got to watch. It was fun and I never thought much about it. However as I have got older, I have sat in with them and have seen some very interesting things.
First of all, we do not use ouija boards or glass. We normally sit around a table and hold hands. My mother will then fall with her head down as if she is asleep. Then, when she comes back up, she has taken the spirit of someone else. Usually it is of the same person, her name being Princess Kilawanee. We are in contact with a group of deceased Indians.
I know this sounds very weird and I wonder about it constantly. But we always talk to the same people. Some times my step-dad will become a medicine man named Deeka. However, the leader and the most predominant spirit is that of the Princess.
When Princess first comes to us, she makes us all smoke a peace pipe. This is of course a fake one that we have got through the years of doing this. She also likes to drink and consequently my mother is drunk when she comes back to us.
My uncle, who just recently became a spirit, takes on the spirit of a Brave named Broken Arrow. They have done this off and on for almost fifteen years and this is the first time that this has happened to him.
I have never become a spirit. I'm not sure I ever will or if I really want to. This is partly because one time my mother became Princess in the middle of the day and cut her hair. I don't think I could ever surrender my body to someone else.
Anyways, I know I'm not telling this story very well but it is a long story and very complicated. Sometimes I think I would like to join in on someone else's séance to see what it is like for them. I wonder if the same spirtits would be there if I was with different people?
I'm sure it will be hard for you to believe this, just as it is hard for me to believe what some of the other people wrote. I have to see it to believe it but I do know that there are some weird and unexplainable things out there.
