I have to bug a friend of mine whenever she's visiting which is a hassle since she doesn't really like to. Still, whenever she touches the damn planchette, the thing goes wild and I think that's what freaks her out the most. She sees the planchette reacting to only her touch and she gets freaked out very easily. Also, I got my (not so normal) neighbour to try it once and it worked then too. It worked again with my mother.
The thing I can't explain is why it works for these people and not for my stepdaughter or myself. All it seems to do for us is drain our energy and almost every time we fall asleep right away. As I said, I don't know why it won't work for me, but I'll keep my hopes up that my luck will change one day.
