Soothsaying Board

Although I have had countless experiences involving the ouija board, this is the story that I would like to share with others who have had similar experiences. It happened a few years ago.

Shortly before my mother was due to be remarried, she came to visit so that my sister and our families could meet her intended. For about a year I had been playing with a ouija board and in this particular house where I was living, I had very good response from the board. Everything it told me was true. My mother had went to my sister's house first and when she came into my home I immediately began telling her about my experiences with the ouija board. Of course she did not believe it.

She was more interested in seeing her three grandchildren than hearing spooky tales. I told her to give me a question that I could not know the answer to so that I could prove that my ouija board would answer truthfully. She agreed and told me to ask the board the date of her wedding. I did and it immediately said June 8. She laughed and said "That's one lie that your board has told you. I'm getting married on June 6. I will not wait two extra days just to prove that your ouija board is correct."

She then went back to my sister's house . Her fiance was going to meet her there and they would then come to my house. About thirty minutes later, my mother, her fiance and my sister came rushing into my house. Mom and her fiance wanted me to get my board so that they could ask questions. It seems that my board had told the truth.

Mom said that when she arrived at my sister's house that he was waiting for her. He seemed deep in thought and perturbed. The first words that he said to her were that they couldn't be married on the sixth, they would have to wait until the eighth because his divorce would not be final until that day.

They kept throwing questions at me, I would ask them and apparently the board was always correct. They were amazed. Then all at once the planchette started moving on its own, telling a story. I was used to it doing this so I wasn't frightened.

It started spelling out the name ROSA. Then it told a story about a man in a bar and a fight in which one of the men was killed. It mentioned a knife. I said, without looking up "Does anyone know a girl named Rosa?" I looked and Mom's fiance had turned ghostly white. It was an awesome sight because he is very dark complexioned.

He very weakly said that he had formerly known a cocktail waitress in Phoenix, Ar. and her name was Rosa. He obviously did not want to talk about this and he wanted us to stop asking the board questions. I'll never know the end of this particular story because I chose to drop it then and there.
