Meme Moves a Glass (Untouched by Human Hands)

While camping with my family in the summer of 1998; my sister, her friend Kelsey, my girlfriend Lexie and I decided to dabble into the unknown using an ouija board I had purchased that afternoon. Sitting in the camper around 11:00, Kelsey and my sister Brittany began the ritual as Lexie and I (both non-believers) sat nearby in disbelief.

Now Brittany and Kelsey were no rookies at this "game." They both had played before using Kelsey's board and had contacted many spirits during their seances. But one spirit in particular always seemed to be around. This spirit called himself "Meme."

Meme was again present that night in the camper and was co-operating with the girls' questions.

Lexie and I had bought this board for the reason that we were both non-believers and we had to see if these story's my sister had told us were true or just the wild imaginations of two 13 year old girls.

Talking with the spirit interested us but not enough for either of us to get involved in the game. After a half and hour or so, Lexie and I were still not convinced of anything. Anyone could move the pointer around and make it spell out words. We wanted more proof....a test!

We told the girls to set a glass on the edge of the table and then ask the spirit if it could knock it over the edge onto the floor. They asked Meme and he said that he would when the clock on the stove read 12:00.

We waited 11:45, 11:50, 11:55...then 12:00. Nothing happened.

Disgusted by the utter waste of time, we all started getting ready to call it a night. I was the only one watching the glass when it happened ... slowly the glass slid to the edge of the table. It then fell over the edge onto the floor. It was as if someone had taken their hand and guided the glass along the table as smooth as silk. The three girls all snapped their heads around to look at the glass lying in peices on the floor and all I could say was "It moved!"

Ever since this event I have been a firm believer in ghosts, spirits and pretty much all paranormal events.
