I live in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. I'm now 38 years old but when I was four or five years old, we still did not have a bathroom in our house so we either went to the outhouse or if we just had to pee, we just went off the porch, especially as a young kid and this took place at night.
One time, I was peeing off the porch when I saw a shadow on an outbuilding. Except it wasn't cast on the building it was more like an image all by itself. It just turned and looked at me and just went on its way.
Don't ask me how I know it looked at me, being a shadow and all, that's just what I felt. I told my Mom and older brother and they fired shots into the building after warning whatever it was they were going to shoot. Anyway, there was nothing there.
Then, four to five years later, we moved to a small town about two miles from where I originally lived. My Dad was a janitor in a school. While my brother and a friend of ours were playing in the school, during the daylight hours I might add, they were standing in a room right next to the door and I was standing in the hall right next to the same door, about three feet away from them.
At the other end of the hall I saw a dark image walk out of a room. The other two were busy talking to each other and did not notice the look on my face. I never believed that you could be too scared to speak but I was. I believe it was the same figure I saw when I was four or five.
I was really scared, even though I was about 9 to 10 years old at the time. It did the same thing as last time. It turned and looked at me and just walked away fading as it walked into the steel doors of the school.
Since I was so scared I don't think this thing was friendly but who knows. I'm looking for someone who has had an experience like this or just has some input as to what this might be. Illusions of a child, maybe but I don't think so as I was never scared of much and again the second time this happend it was daylight.
