I got a piece of paper and a penny and drew up a board with A-Z (standard letters this time), a space, a full-stop (period), a question mark, <YES>, <NO>, <MAYBE>, <GOODBYE> and an empty circle in the centre.
I put the penny on the circle in the centre and asked if there were any spirits there (note that I was doing this alone for a number of reasons and was using both white light visualisation and a bible for "protection" - I'm not sure if it was necessary, and I don't actually subscribe to any religion but still, better safe than sorry). At first nothing happened but then there was a vague, faint drag towards <YES>. After that it moved a little more strongly.
In the end, I held three short separate sessions which follow. Comments are welcome:
Session One.
Who are you? -BQB
Do you have a message for me? -<YES>
What is that message? -BQFNV
Is there something wrong with this board? -<NO>
Was I supposed to understand the message? -<NO>
Why am I not supposed to understand? -BECAUSE (misspelt) G K R

(I bow out gracefully, with sweaty palms.)
Session Two.

Are you a spirit or a dead person? (words to that effect) -A GSD
Do you mean a god? -<YES>
That's a bit unusual isn't it? -<YES>
(At this point I was a little lost for words but the penny started again)

Do you mean my brother is the strong one? -<YES>
(this was something I was thinking about, who in my first session was the conduit or channel[?])

Could you tell me what the first word on the twelfth page of the yellow pages? -EPA
(Again I bow out. EPA is not the first word on any page that could be construed as page twelve.)
Session Three.
(I ask the
first spirit if it is willing to do a test, it says no)
Is there anyone there who is willing to do a test? -LHCQK
Can he come to the board? (nothing)
Are you there "LHCQK"? -<YES>
Are you willing to do a test? -<YES>
Can you tell me the phone number on the top of the second
row of the residental pages of the phone book? -1452973 (last
four could be wrong)
What is the name of the owner of this number? -HOY
(I bow out again. The phone number
is wrong, there is no "Hoy" in the book at all.)
Well, the information was rubbish but the penny moved, it wasn't anybody else and it certainly did not feel like me! Freaky.
