A friend of mine, who was
watching me after I had brain surgery (for a tumor) in
case I had a seizure, was in the bathroom (located in a
short hallway from the kitchen in my house) when I heard
a sound like plastic squeaking. I walked toward the hallway and saw my son's pellet rifle leaning in the corner. It was twisting by itself as if it was made of rubber and squeaking as it did so. Having experienced a number of hallucinations as a result of the brain tumor, I did a reality check and asked my friend (who was still in the bathroom at this time) if he heard anything. He replied that he heard a squeaking sound and asked if it was me. I told him to hurry up and come out into the hallway. He did. I asked if he would look at the rifle. His face became pale and I could tell he was awe-stricken by the sight. We observed the phenomenon for about forty-five minutes to an hour. It was unreal. I mentioned it to my wife later and she said that she witnessed the same thing at an earlier date. As I recall, she moved the rifle to the other end of the hallway and it resumed its strange movement. She said that she thought that it was the floor settling (the house was built in 1946 or 1947). Possible causes: My doctor said that there was a condition where if people are exposed to a psychotic long enough they will display psychotic symptoms themselves. That would imply that I was telepathic since I didn't tell Kenneth what the rifle was doing. Other than that I saw actually happening, all I can offer in explanation is that it was some unusual phenomenon resulting from a yet unknown law of physics concerning time and space or it was pretur-normal. I don't believe in the paranormal as sooner or later things that are defined as paranormal will be better understood when Man dispenses with such labeling, casts his preconceived notions away and actually searches for the truth. |
