A Brief Synopsis

A Professional Summary:
Kaitlyn Fairchild and her four psychic friends nearly escape from the evil Mr. Zetes-until Gabriel defects to the Institute. Desperate to break the intimacy of their telepathic link, he becomes the enemy and the hunter of Kaitlyn's group. Rob is determined to destroy Gabriel if he has to...but Kait can't let that happen. On her own, she leaves her friends and reutrns to the Institute, pretending to join Mr. Zetes. But when her reckless gamble goes wrong, will Gabriel save her-or betray her again? And when the final battle comes, will Kaitlyn choose Rob or Gabriel-light or darkness?

Diana's Opinion:
Personally, I think that this is the best book of the series because even though everyone is in there own traditional roles. You have to view their opposing attributes in the bad guy team. And Kait and Gab are there to play both roles. Will the good guys win or will the bad guys take over?

Faye's Opinion:
Although I felt that the DV series was somewhat weak, this was my favorite book in the series. It kept coming back to the dark versus light issue- the good versus evil... And even Kait found herself having to chose between Rob, the golden boy, and Gabe, who was dark, reclusive and mysterious. I think that all of us, at one time or another have been attracted to the darker side at times...
