Let's see...way back in 1518 in the Highlands of Scotland, a wee lad came into the world.

While not easy, the early life of Connor MacLeod meandered fairly swimmingly, until....

the Kurgan participated with the Fraser clan in a battle against the MacLeods, ending Connor's mortal life.  Connor's clansmen didn't trust his ultra-quick recovery from his "fatal" wounds, and cast him from the clan.

Luckily, Angus allowed him escape rather than being burned alive, and Connor wandered the Highlands until he met a young woman, full of life and just as stubborn as our stubborn hero.
