14 May (Friday)

Drove up to Glenfinnan yesterday, where we spent the first night.  Glenfinnan is beautiful.  Rather small -- just a few houses and buildings on the main road through, not sure how many might be on some side roads.  We walked down to the beautiful Glenfinnan Catholic Church (didn't go in as a choir was practicing), then to the Highlander monument.  (Where not only was Homeland filmed, but HL1's boat scene).  There were quite a few walkers on the road this morning -- reminiscent of Duncan in Homeland.

The shores of Loch Shiel and the Highlander monument to Prince Charlie.
(This is where the boat scene in HL1 -- "I'm a man, not a fish" --
was filmed, right in front of the monument.)
