Without a mother, he was raised as a soldier from his childhood, learning to master military strategy by early adulthood. Unfortunately, the channeling spark was encountered, and he fled. Ishamael found him in his dreams, and turned a willing Saryn to the Shadow, an able commander with training from the best.
