Gaiden's form is that of a hulking, muscle bound barbarian. His long, dirt brown flowing hair and beard are always wild and unkempt. Despite his appearance, he is generally a calm and serene being. He wishes no ill will on any humanoid or animal unless they have taken the life of another being unjustly. Then, his rage knows no bounds. He will do everything in his considerable power to bring them to justice. Because of his fondness for animal life, Gaiden has been known to forge alliances with several of the Animal Lords who he has found worthy. They are all to quick to agree to such a pact as Gaiden makes a valuable ally indeed. |
Just a few hundred years after the Great Cataclysm, Gaiden was a guardian of the ancient Greatwood Forest. He enjoyed his community of animals and spent his days tending to his magnificent garden. As the War of Survival began to rage and encroach on his forest, plant and animal life suffered greatly. Gaiden put down his gardening tools and lent his sword to the war against Morgoth and his minions. During the war, tales of Gaiden's valor and dedication reached the ears of the Valar. After the war's conclusion, Gaiden was chosen by the Valar to be the first High Lord of Nature. He joyfully accepted the position and revels in its responsibilities. He has tried to make peace with the other Powers but has been unsuccessful. The Dark and Light both want him to join their side against the other, which he see no reason to do. The High Lords of Wild magic are too unstable to forge an alliance. However, he has forged alliances with several of the wiser, gentler, animal lords. |
