Ji has mellowed out a little in the past 300 years. His youthful energy is still present but he now uses it a bit more conservatively. His curious nature is often stifled by having to maintain his post but the constant flux of interesting visitors to his portal subsides it.
Physically, Ji appears as the typical baeran but slightly more lean and muscular. His dark hair and eyes match well with his beige vest and leather leggings and boots. He generally wears various necklaces that he has collected over the years. |
Ji was always a curious young baeran and constantly found his way into trouble. He loved to go wandering in the woods to see what adventure came his way. Unfortunately, on his 18th birthday, he encountered a hungry were-tiger in his animal form. A ferocious battle ensued leaving Ji at the were-tigers mercy. Just before the killing stroke was dealt, Ji's father rushed in to his aid and killed the were-tiger. Unfortunately, Ji was already infected with the lycanthropy virus. Now, as a part bear, part tiger crossbreed, Ji was shunned from his clan. He took up adventuring in search of someplace to fit in. When he reached 28 summers, he received a vision from the Tree of Ages. It requested he partake in a quest vital to the Tree's safety. After completing this quest, the Tree invited him to reside permanently in it's branches as a portal guardian. To aid him in his new occupation, the Tree granted him near immortality and a staff from it's boughs. |
