Name: Skope's Harbor

Country: Nin

Population Type: Titan, Giant

Population: 50000

Ruler: Lord Ellis Rangewalker

Allies: Ningrom

Enemies:

Safety Level: Fair

Terrain: Coastal Forest

General Alignment: Neutral

Government: Aristocracy

Military: Skope's Harbor has a standing army of about 10000 troops. This fairly large force is necessary to defend one of the largest shipyards in all of Kragora. Skope's Harbor is the home port for Nin's Navy, one of the largest and most powerful navies in the world. The city has thick walls on the land side, with the only direct approach to the city being over a long, narrow peninsula. Ballistas and catapults cover every inch of the peninsula within their range, and archers and murder holes await any brave or foolish enough to make it to the city walls. The Navy is second to none in terms of crew training and shipbuilding, and their mastery of the sea has so far gone unchallenged.

Magic Level: Average

Economy: Rich

Weather: Being so close to the sea brings a variety of extreme weather, ranging from pleasant sunny days to raging typhoons.

Taverns: The Spyglass, The Keel-Hauler, Six Sheets to the Wind, The First Mate's Wench, The Broken Bowsprit, The Rum Puncheon

Market:

Services: Skope's Harbor is a major trade hub for all of Kragora, and items from all over the world can be found in its markets. To the landward side, inns, taverns, markets, livery stables, general stores, and specialized shops of all kinds are scattered throughout the city. On the seaward side are more of the sailor-type bars and the appropriate shops and markets. Skope's Harbor's shipyards offer every imaginable seafaring service, from minor rigging repair to building a dreadnaught from the keel up.

Guilds:

Thieves Guild:

Notable Residents: Verillion, Draconus, Bane Marky, Todd Bullcock, Organor, Obsidious

Description: Skope's Harbor combines the features of a military fortress and a sailing port. To the landward side, the city is generally nondescript and normal by most anyone's standards, with the exception of the size, which is necessary for the size of the inhabitants. The seaward side contains all the markets, docks, shipyards, naval bases, and sailor bars required for any port. The seaward side is also generally rougher and more dangerous due to the clientel and the shady types that pass through there.

Description: Hidden high in the mountain peaks of Nin lies the fabled city of Aule's Forge. Nearly half the city's inhabitants earn their way through life in the prosperous world of forging. The rest begrudgingly provide the necessary services to keep the town running. Only the most determined and proficient metalworkers prosper in this city--let alone find it. It's well hidden and kept a well-guarded secret. Master blacksmiths from around the world attempt to make a pilgrimage to this sacred city. However, treacherous cliffs, savage beasts, thunderous storms and the cities obscurity force most to return home long before finding Aule's Forge.
