Weapon X #1 (11/02) - On their first mission as a team, Weapon X (consisting of Marrow, Kane, Sauron, Wild Child, Aurora, Washout, and Mesmero) takes out terrorist group Zodiac, killing all but one...mutant Madison Jeffries. As a powerful techno-morph, the Director wishes to recruit him into Weapon X. It turns out that the Director is on a mission to eliminate all mutants from the face of the planet, and uses Jeffries to create a concentration camp for mutants. His motives hidden from the members of Weapon X, he sends them out again to recruit teleporter Locus. However, the team finds her dead body, apparently the work of Sabretooth. The team's next Mission?...find Sabretooth! (Check out a particularly entertaining section of this issue where Marrow takes it upon herself to slice Mesmero's, *ahem*, family jewels.)
