Uncanny X-Men #364 (1/99) - Though still bickering as to which group gets to take Professor X with them, the X-Men and the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants join forces to fight their common enemy, Cerebro. During the battle, Toad, Mimic, and Shadowcat are all apparently vaporized by Cerebro, but when Professor X tells them that they were merely teleported, the rest of the X-Men allow themselves to be zapped as well. Nightcrawler, having secured a jet, sees the others disappear and decides to go to Tajikinistan to find the rest of the team.
