Uncanny X-Men #374 (11/99) - Looking for Callisto, Marrow soon realizes that she is on the Hill where she grew from a child to an adult. She eventually finds Callisto, but Callisto is merely part of an elaborate illusion where key parts of Marrow's life are being replayed (obviously in Marrow's mind). Marrow first observes the time when her powers manifested and Mikhail's henchmen cast her down the Hill to fend for herself. Callisto, unable to do anything, stood helplessly by. Next Marrow sees herself as the animalistic adult she eventually became, ultimately arriving atop the Hill at Mikhail's castle and killing the beasts trying to force her back. Marrow sees these events with a heavy heart, realizing that she was an unfeeling killing machine created by the madman Mikhail. She soon finds Mikhail fighting Colossus and confronts him. Ultimately, Mikhail teleports himself, Marrow, and Colossus back to the museum, but at a great cost to his health.
