Wizard X-Men #1/2 (11/98) - Set in medieval times, Marrow is a common thief who steals Nightcrawler's purse. Nightcrawler gets it back from her and she secretly follows him. He joins Logan on a quest to conquer an evil mind controller who is amassing a large army of slaves to take over the country. As Marrow catches up with the two, Colossus appears as does Storm and Kitty, each with the separate attempt to conquer the mind controller. The six join forces to infiltrate his palace only to be attacked by the army of slaves. During the battle, the mind controller is revealed to be Mesmero and is swiftly knocked unconscious. The medieval setting dissipates, and the spell is broken. Back in modern times, the X-Men leave the sight and take Mesmero with them, not wanting the public to blame them for the days events.
