Mutant Powers: Undefined, though it appears that he has empathic or telepathic powers.
Current Status: During the War of the Mutants, Opsidian and the rest of Gene Nation were defeated by Nate Grey and Generation X. It is assumed that Opsidian perished in the explosion that enveloped the area during the end of the battle. This is not confirmed, however.
