Peter Parker: Spider-Man #4 (4/99) - When mysterious kidnappings are rumored to originate in the sewers underneath New York, an angry mob decides to go below and kill whatever "mutants" they can find. To prevent the mob from finding any remaining Morlocks, Marrow disobeys Storm's wishes and goes to the site to handle matters herself. She threatens the group of riotous humans when Spider-Man shows up, preventing her and the mob from fighting. Marrow then darts into the sewer system to find the source of the kidnappings with Spider-Man in pursuit. The two find the abducted humans (one of which is Callisto), but when they begin to untie them a being named Hunger appears. While the prisoners flee, Marrow and Spider-Man attack the vampiric man. With the help of a third person named Flash Thompson, the three are able to subdue Hunger and he flees. While Spider-Man and Flash leave, Marrow is in awe that a "human" had a hand in saving her life.
