Overview

After the debut of the Harbringer mech, many generals of the Inner Sphere decided that they wanted a standard biped version of the mech. As such, a biped version was made that had the main features of the original model, doubled up weapon systems and good rear defense. In that regard, the mech was an overwhelming success. However, even with all of the improvements this model offers over the quad models, the company decided that any further Harbringers would be quads only. As a Harbringer, the second model is a dead-end, but as the beginning of a separate line of mechs, it is a good beginning.

Capabilities

Besides the protection offered from its armored shell and the CASE system, the Harbringer 2 also relies on its jumpjets to keep it out of harms way. The Harbringer 2 offers a tremendous bombardment ability with its 4 long range missile systems. While it doesn't have any short range missiles, its array of small lasers, ER PPCs, and rear facing ER medium lasers will keep its enemies at bay. To improve its aim, the HAR-2A also carries a Narc Missile Beacon.

Deployment

While it has been deployed far and wide, in recent years they are becoming harder to find since the manufacturer has since moved onto other, non-biped models of the Harbringer.

The Harbringers have been seen in action all over the inner Sphere. From short raids, to planetary assaults, they have been seen in every major conflict since their conception.
