QuastarionThis is where you get the gist of what Quastarion really is.

As you may already know the Starbreeze Castle is set in Quastarion. The name Quastarion comes from the phrase "Quas Tari" meaning Night Star or Dark Star in the Elven toungue. For Quastarion is a rather large star in an un-named galaxy. It is no ordinary star however, but was remade by the King of Ages (as some call him)into a magical land. It was everything he could dream of. Being heavily forested; by many strange trees only seemingly found on Quastarion, there lie places for many kinds of creatures to dwell. Aside from forests an ocean also covers much of the globe, and most of it is left unexplored. Some of the terrain is somewhat mountainous, giving a place for the dwarves to dwell. Deserts lie mostly to the south, where Quastarion's sun shines most bright.
Being happy with his creation the King watched his world flourish. Where nothing died. This posed a problem, the population was growing rapidly, soon he knew there would be no more room. The King frowned in disapointment and he unable to take away what was wrought decided to move on and try again on another place.
Now, the Prince of Darkness travelled from place to place all over the universe. Most gods had a world of their own, but he was only able to destroy, not create a wonderful place for creatures to dwell. When dissolving planets got boring, he went looking for his own place to rule. This is where he found the King.
The Prince was a jealous god and seeing what the King had, he wanted to take it for himself. The Prince began killing the inhabitants of Quastarion. Which didn't go unnoticed by the King. When seeing the things he created suffering in pain he rose to the defensive. When he found the culprit there was a great battle in the sky. This was a day that went down in history.
In the end the King came out on top and banished the Prince to the underworld. So now the Prince of Darkness rules the underworld and the King of Ages rules the spirit world. Establishing a balance between life and death. The Prince though is still fighing from behind his bonds to over take Quastarion.
