This may seem like going a step
backward but
when you have all the basic
features the way you want
them take a little oil on you
thumb and smooth all
the skin down.
The process of adding bits of
clay to form the model
will leave little bumps that
must be removed to get the best detail. This "smooth skin" may appear wrong
but provides the best canvas for adding details.
Detailing can be as fine as you
care to make it.
Add the gross details first
such as scars, eyelids and electrodes.
Hair can be started by using
the edge of your thumb and nail
and finer hairs can be added
by using a fine artists brush.
If you want that added touch
you can go so far as to add
skin textures. This can be done
by using latex impressions and
pressing into the clay. using
this method you can even get
enough detail to see the sweat
on his brow.
