The bright sun greeted the three warmly as they flew above the ocean surrounding the Isle of Man. Fear and apprehension set in easily with Giran, but Karan radiated happiness as the journey began.
"If feels so free up here." she told her winged companion.
"Flying is quite nice." Aloysius replied, "It is a pity you human do not have wings."
"The Griffins fly differently. They're nimble but not like you and they move slower."
"Keep in mind I'm also flying with a sense of urgency. Who knows how much time we have left to save the world."
"I'm not exactly sure what exactly we're supposed to be fighting again." Giran injected as he continued to hold onto Karan tight.
"It's hard for me to explain myself." the pegasus huffed, "I know is that the queen saw the evil in a terrible dream. A grotesque figure it was. Don't worry if we're on the right track it'll find us."
The three continued to fly until land became visible under a setting sun. "Hmm." he muttered, "It seems as if we have come far. We are about to reach one of the main lands. Though I warn you it may be dangerous."
"I had a feeling you were going to say that." came Giran's reply.
"This is a serious matter." he interjected, "We will travel through many forbidden forests, crystal cliffs, and numerous boglands to get to the end."
"Why travel through when we can just fly?"
"Because young man flying is necessary when we're over a body of water. Though I am strong and powerful I can't remain in the air forever. As we speak my wings are trembling from stress."
"So even you can get tired from flying?"
"Not can get tired am tired."
"Aloysius is right." Karan said, "It's best we find some food and a place to camp for the night."
The horse neighed in agreement and began to swoop down to the sandy shores below.
