This barrel-shaped battleship has a very spaceous interior
I just had to make another gigantic starship, this one had
a total of 12 sections around, with pairs of curved wings.
My Lego spaceship designs are very fragile, with entire
sections snapping off here and there. I'm usually finished
with a particular design when the whole thing crumbles,
unless I decide to rebuild them for the photos :)
The big secret to building these monstrosities is having a
lot of each particular part, and being careful not to cause
the design to collapse under it's own weight.
These designs were made with mostly Explorien and UFO parts,
which are some of my favorites. There is the occasional
appearance of the TIE Interceptor wings, which are from plastic models,
mounted with an inset 2X4 lego, making them compatible with the system :)
