Profile: Pascal is the mature reconstructed form of Impulse. She has all the personality of her predecessor, and every bit as much as ability. Her remarkable sensitivity and creativity have become a vital part of many Autobot's life. Pascal sees the good in everything, that she treats her fellow robots with extreme respect and reverence. Many look to Pascal for guidance, because of her maturity and insight. She has an inexhaustible supply of hidden ideas and talents. However her extreme sensitivity to thoughts an emotions can drive her mad. Science, math and discovery disciplines are her only salvation from guilt during periods of inactivity.
Abilities: Pascal can use artistic skills rather than mathematics to draw circuitry plans quite easily. It is second nature to her. She can actually sense thoughts and emotions if she is in close physical proximity to her subjects. Each ability she had as Impulse is enhanced, much in the same way Rodimus Prime is the super version of Hot Rod. To be able to truly discern thoughts she must touch her subject. Pascal is equipped with a trailer in vehicle transform mode, which can function as a repair bay. Its cannon shoots magnified electro force blasts that can melt through plate titanium, as hot as lightening. Similar to Impulse, her circuitry is complex and difficult to repair, due to build in redundancies. She breaks down less often then her fellow Autobot.
Weaknesses: Pascal has a tendency to be very self critical. Often times she finds so much fault in one failure she lapses into depression if not for the help of her two brothers Cobol and Fortran.
Background: Pascal lives on Cybertron, about the time of the new Golden Age. While the history of the movie was "Erased" she exists in the New Cybertron, one of the last of the new Autobot. She was instrumental in building and designing the Maximals, with her brother's help. She is a great High Computer Builder. Loved by Rodimus Prime, she is his helpmate in maintaining the new Cybertron.
Before this, she worked as a computer programmer in Fortress Maximus. Her paraform was adapted from Impulse's damaged body. When Impulse was injured on a trip to Cybertron's interior, Rodimus Prime came to save her. He sensed in her his future love. Alpha Trion convinced him to supercharge her with the energies in the Matrix. Thus Pascal was born.
The charge was not permanent. He instructed Database to build her a new form, and the wizened old veteran did that and more. Last in a series of three computer programmers, she was every bit the equal and successor to Aleta 1.
Later she helped develop a new Autobot space bridge. Yet an accident with it sent her into the Golden Age, before Optimus Prime Existed. She ended up at a College where Ariel (to be Aleta 1) was enrolled with her friend Delta. The duo adopted Pascal as their friend and roommate. Unable to return home, Pascal found work as a computer programmer in Alpha Trion's workshop.
They encountered three Decepticons. Starscream, Thundercracker, and Cloudraker. Delta and Cloudraker fell in love, and Starscream was very much stricken with Pascal. Despite her initial reservations, the two fell in love. Starscream was a very charming robot before his mind was corrupted by the other Decepticons. Yet it pained her to know what a villain he would become int eh future.
She witnessed the collapse of the Golden age firsthand. And helped Alpha Trion to round up the survivors of the first incursion of Megatron. Rodimus Prime came into the past, rescuing her moments after she bade her farewell to a "converted" Starscream.
Pascal feels guilt for loving Starscream, and this taints her relationship with Rodimus. Still they try to overcome this as they take on the task of leading the Autobot and Maximals in the future...
Rodimus Prime: Is attracted to the Autobot Leader. He reciprocates this affection, yet their respective responsibilities leave them little time together.
Ultra Magnus: Respects her advice and wisdom, often relying upon it in battle. They are good friends and companions
Fortran: She looks up to her oldest brother, and relies on his logic when the world has gone mad. Often her emotions help him see past his dedication to logic. Respects and is a bit jealous of her natural artistic approach to making circuits that take him hours to calculate.
Cobol: Gets along well with his sister. He is the mediator between Fortran and Pascal, often breaking their arguments on artistic versus scientific approaches to repairing and constructing computers.
Alpha Trion: Reverse the legend of this great leader. While he was not alive to see her become Pascal, it was he that within Vector Sigma realized Rodimus Prime needed a helpmate. And reaching out of the Matrix he convinced Rodimus prime to help an injured Impulse to be reborn as Pascal. This was only temporary. Database made her a new paraform to make the transfer permanent.
Optimus Prime: Met the Autobot Leader in the past, when he was first created. She knew him as Orion Pax, and his girlfriend Ariel, later to be Aleta 1. In the past they shared much, and even fought the Decepticons in a first pitched battle. He has never met Pascal, for he became one with the Matrix before she became Pascal.
Starscream: Knows Pascal of old. Because of the aforementioned time travel, he actually met her before she was created. They were lovers back before the Decepticons rebelled, destroying the Golden Age and bringing War to Cybertron. The story of this relationship will be explained in an upcoming fanfic. Deep down inside he still loves her, but she cannot bear to see her former love in his present evil state.
Galvatron: The mad Decepticons leader has much grudging respect for her fighting prowess. When it comes to defending her home, she shows no mercy. And would die and fight to the last. He sees this as a madness equal to his own.
