USS Rampa
The USS Rampa is Admiral Roi's Personal Touring Craft. She and the Rampa are
now assigned to Starbase Liberty in a region of space known as the "Triangle".
Following are a few pictures of the Saber Class Starship, and a brief history and
specs. The Rampa can also be used to provide added defense for Starbase Liberty,
or to supplement missions which require added firepower and support. (Sometimes Adm
Roi just likes to take it out for a spin).
History
The first Saber Class ship of note was the USS Yeager. Seen originally in the
movie (Star Trek: Fisrt Contact). The Saber Class Starship was designed by Alex
Jaegar at ILM. It was rendered as a coputer-generated visual effect. This type of
Starship was in use in the late 24th century. USS Yeager helped defend Sector 001
against Borg incursion. The USS Yeager was named after Chuck Yeager, an aircraft
test pilot on planet Earth, the first human to fly faster than the speed of sound.
Yeager accomplished this feat on October 27, 1947, in a rocket-powered craft called
the Glamorous Glennis. Commander La Forge likened Dr. Ja"dar's revolutionary
Soliton Wave rider experiment in 2368 to Yeager's historic achievement during the
episode titled (New Ground-TNG). NOTE: This history comes from the Star Trek Encyclopedia,

intended. The USS Rampa was named after one of Admiral Roi's favorite ancient earth
writer's, T. Lobsang Rampa.
