You Can't Always Bury the Dead

anng.jpg In 1681 a miller, james Graeme of County Durham, England was haunted by a gruesome spirit. It was a blood drenched ghost of a young woman. She had five open wounds on her head and said her name was Anne Walker.

The apparition then recounted her grizzly murder with a pick axe to Graeme. She told him she was murdered by a Mark Sharp who was hired by a relative of hers, by whom she was pregnant.

She then threatened Graeme saying that if he didn't tell the police her story she would return and haunt him.

Graeme didn't believe what he saw and refuse tho go to the police. Anne's ghost visited him twice more pleading and threatening. Graeme finally gave in and went to the police. the ghost had told Graeme were to find her body.

The pit identified by Anne was searched and her body, brutally beaten, was found. Sharp and Walker were then arrested tried, found guilty, and hung to death.

Anne's spirit, avenged, could finally rest in piece and was never seen again.
