Name: Amora
Alias: The Enchantress. And she impersonated Valkyrie, back during that 'Lady Liberators' business.'
First appearance: Journey into Mystery #103.
Race: Asgardian.
Powers: Spell-casting, various magical powers. She can augment her already considerable beauty with magic, and is also bullet-proof and can lift about 5 tons.
Occupation: Would-be conquerer, singer, actress, sorceress, beauty spa owner. |

Enemies: Amora is an Avengers villainess from way back, She's also rubbed S'ym, the New Mutants, and quite a few Asgardians the wrong way over the centuries.
Friends: She and Thor had a romance going on (the sparks flew during Secret Wars, and they hooked up later after both of them were exiled from Asgard for different reasons). She has also seduced a great many men, including Black Knight, Wonder Man, and Skurge. But few, if any (except the Executioner) are especially fond of her anymore. Amora is a tricky sort; she once enchanted her own sister Lorelei into falling in love with Loki; an action that later led to her siblings demise. Amora was a member of Dr.Doom's Battleworld Army in Secret Wars, and got along fairly well with them.
Favorite quote: Thor: "Love is not an object to be seized or stolen -- it can only be given!
Amora: "Aye, but we immortals are wont to occupy our endless days with foolish or impossible quests -- either to keep from going mad, or because we ARE." -- Secret Wars #4 |

Favorite storyline: After the death of Skurge the Executioner, Amora actually shows some regret and sadness. I thought this was important, just to show she wasn't a completely one-dimensional trollop who hung around purely for the eye-candy -- she's a being with feelings and regrets too. |

Where can she be seen?: Like I said, Amora's a longtime Avengers foe, but hasn't made many recent appearances. She pops in from time to time in Thor, though.
Enchantress links: Umm, I'll get back ta ya on this one... |
